The Hall

The Old School was built in 1864 and closed in 2000. At it's peak in the 1880's it had 76 children in two classrooms but by the end there were only 6.

Yr Hen Ysgol was refurbished with a Big Lottery Grant in 2008-9.
This picture shows the 'playground' with vehicle access.

The building has a hall and a meeting room as well as a large kitchen and toilets with facilities for disabled people and changing babies (in the nappy sense). It is centrally heated and has solar panels provided by the Carmarthenshire Energy Agency.
The hall dimensions are: 8.4m x 5.2m (27.5ft x 17ft).

The meeting room has been organised for use as an IT facility (although no computers have yet been installed).
The meeting room is: 4.8m x 3.2m (16ft x 10.5ft).

The kitchen has all the normal cooking and preparation facilities.

In addition, there is some storage available for users.
