Easter Egg (Bunny) Hunt


Easter Bunny Hunt

Easter Monday, 9th April.

Disaster! The Easter Bunny has been kidnapped and no-one knows where she is or where she has hidden her Easter Eggs. Please come and help to find her. We know she is somewhere near the Old School in Bethlehem, and we'll be searching for clues we hope will lead us to her, at any time from 2pm (until 5pm) on Easter Monday. |For £2 we include a bag you can decorate to hold any eggs you may find and there will be a crafts table to help you relax after your detective work. Refreshments will also be available. Make sure you wear suitable clothes and footwear (there may be mud or it could even be sunny!)

£2 per child, Refreshments available. Starts at 2pm (open until 5pm).


Yoga Classes


Yoga

Tuesdays from 17th January to 27th March (inclusive).


7-8:30pm

An introduction to the gentle Satyananda style of yoga, suitable for all ages, levels of fitness and bodies. Satyananda yoga is an integral yoga, a blend of classic postures, breathing practices, deep relaxation and meditation.

This course covers the preparatory PMA series – a systematic and progressive series of practices which work towards releasing joints, increasing flexibility and developing awareness of breath. This provides a foundation for any further yoga practice. Time is given to breathing practices and relaxation in every class – tools which can be used in everyday life.

Fee: £60 for the ten-week course, with ongoing enrolment.

The Christmas Fayre


Christmas Fayre

Saturday 3rd December.

As always the Bethlehem Christmas Fayre is taking place on the first Saturday of December.
There will be a range of fantastic stalls selling high quality gifts, crafts and tasty local produce. The village Post Office will be open all day to stamp your Christmas cards with the famous Bethlehem hand stamp.

Opened by a special guest, Father Christmas will also be appearing.
Entertainment will be provided by the Bethlehem Village Band and Fizz Theatre Company.

And best of all it’s free entry - leaving you with more pennies in your pockets to indulge in some seasonal treats.
We do hope you will be able to join us at Bethlehem and kick off the season’s festivities with this special event. And remember don’t forget your Christmas cards!

All profits made by Dyffryn Ceidrych Bethlehem Association will go towards running costs of the Yr Hen Ysgol Community Hall.

The Shooting-Star Fair and Twmpath

Saturday 13th August.

Come and watch the stars fall on Bethlehem! (weather & moon permitting, of course)
4pm-late.

Summer Fete (cychwyn am 4yp, am ddim / opens at 4pm, free)
Local stalls with homemade cakes, preserves, produce and plants as well art, crafts, photography and more. Try your hand at stonemasonry and there will be plenty of children’s activities.
Tywi Cycles are organising various bike activities (bring your bike or hire one) and there's a free bike tune-up available for anyone cycling to the fair.
Barbecue and licensed refreshments available.

Twmpath (cychwyn am 7:30yh / starts at 7:30pm, £3 / £1)
In the evening the stalls will give way to Bethlehem’s very own international folk group, The Bethlehem Village Band for an evening of music and dancing.

Perseid Meteor Shower (am ddim / free)
Throughout the afternoon and evening there will be talks about Astronomy and Meteors by Angharad Beurle-Williams of Cardiff University.
Weather permitting you will be able to take a break from the dancing to watch the meteors and use some telescopes to explore the stars and the moon.

Now mostly forgotten, the accidental discovery of these plans is, in the light of Boris Johnson's comments, a timely warning.

The Easter Egg Hunt


On Easter Monday, a terrifying ordeal faced the Easter Bunny who was kidnapped. The only way to free her was to solve the clues helpfully left in the wake of the terrible bunny-nappers.
Refreshments, cakes, tombola and crafts were provided to help the intrepid hunters and their minders in their quest.
